Wellness Tip:
Help The Environment
Fun fact: Help the environment, and you’ll help yourself. 🌎🙌And not just for the obvious reasons. It can also decrease stress and boost your mental health.
Why? Firstly, helping the planet gives us hope and a sense of control. Then there are the (many) benefits of outdoor activities – like better sleep and boosted immunity. If there’s a downside to doing good for the planet, we sure can’t think of one.
Here are some hands-on ways to get out and volunteer. Plus, check out this bunch of small, everyday ways to be kinder to the planet.
Productivity Tip:
Build Your Self-Confidence
Ah, confidence. It motivates us to pursue our goals and pushes us to achieve more. But it can feel elusive at times. If you want to build self-confidence, try to:
- Surround yourself with positive people
- Not compare yourself with others (in real life or on social media!)
- Practice positive self-talk
- Take care of yourself physically: eat healthy, move, meditate, sleep
- Know your strengths and do more of the things you’re good at

Routine Breakdown
Sejal Patel, CEO and Co-founder of Plantkos
“My routine has to keep everyone on schedule and set the whole family up for a successful and productive day,” says mother and CEO Sejal Patel. Here’s her routine:
- 6:30 am: Says her morning mantra while still in bed. “My grandfather instilled this habit in me when I was six years old.”
- 6:45 am: Drinks warm water with lemon and makes French press coffee.
- 7 a.m: Gets her kids ready for school then does a workout. “Usually a mix of yoga, strength training, and an outdoor run, using the Peloton app.”
- 9-10 am: Gets showered and dressed for the day then dives into work.
Why it works:
- Research supports mantras for increasing focus, reducing anxiety and more. They may even – yes! – boost confidence.
- Lemon water is great for hydration and vitamin C (though some other claims about it are unproven).
- Moving is good, and mixing in yoga, strength and getting outdoors is better!
Some people swear by mantras for staying confident and focused. If you want to give it a shot, here are some tips on creating your own.
